Our History

The Footers story dates back to 1978, when owner Jimmy Lambatos and his partner opened Footers Restaurant in Denver's Capitol Hill Neighborhood. It wasn't long before the restaurant became known for its authentic Italian cuisine, fresh baked bread, private wine sellers and the jovial Maitre D', Harry Lordino.

This is where Jimmy laid the groundwork for his belief in great food and great service. These elements combined to give Footers an unforgettable atmosphere that people still reminisce about today. Footers was popular for all occasions, and whether it was their first date or their 25th anniversary, people still remember Footers as a great date restaurant.

Footers Catering company sprouted from the restaurant in 1981. Jimmy realized that by expanding into the Denver catering space, he could leverage the popularity and quality of Footers restaurant to provide his customers with the same experience they'd come to cherish at his restaurant. Soon, Footers was a premier Denver caterer.

After splitting with his partner in 1988, Jimmy took full ownership of Footers Catering. Then, in 1990, Footers moved from its Denver location at 7th and Logan into its current headquarters in Englewood. Since then, Footers has since overseen a 4,000 square foot expansion to house rental equipment, and has expanded its catering services throughout the Denver metro area and the Front Range.

Our Philosophy

From a humble beginning catering parties with his wife Ronda out of their truck, Jimmy has made Footers Denver's premier caterer. Just like the old days in Capitol Hill, Jimmy's passion for creating memorable events and making people happy remains at the center of what Footers stands for today. In fact, Jimmy still plays a large roll in event planning, working on floral arrangements, and of course, attending parties.

Looking back, it's easy to see how Footers became the leading Denver caterer. Footers has always taken pride in providing exceptional catering services, serving the freshest and most flavorful foods by cooking on site at each event. "I love the fact that we get to do something new every night. Serving innovative foods and working with cutting edge presentation keeps me fresh and energized," says Jimmy.

While Footers is not Denver's biggest catering company, its longevity demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction and the passion to continue to be the finest catering company in Denver and the state of Colorado.

Along with great food and great service, Footers owns and offers a wide selection of rental equipment to fully service your event needs. From canopies, tables, chairs, and linens to china, glassware, decor and more, Footers has it all. Custom floral arrangements can also be done in house along with full event coordination, adding beauty and vitality to every occasion.

Having catered more than 50,000 events ranging from 2 to 2,500 guests, Footers has been acknowledged as the premier Denver caterer that checks and double checks every detail to ensure customer satisfaction and culinary excellence.

The corporation that owns Footers Catering also operates the Eagle's Nest Restaurant at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club, the Footers Cafe at the Denver Design Center, and is a partner at Baur's Ristorante located in downtown Denver at 1512 Curtis Street.
