Chef Jimmy Hits the Colorado Hall of Fame

Jimmy Lambatos, founder of Footers Catering and Baur’s Restorante, was inducted into the Colorado Restaurant Hall of Fame on Monday. Jimmy has been a staple in the Colorado food scene for over 30 years.

“My love for the catering business has always been there. The creativity challenges me and keeps it exciting,” said Jimmy Lambatos.

In 1980, Jimmy and his partners began the Quizno’s sandwich shop concept, which they began franchising in 1981. In 1981 he founded Footers Catering.

Jimmy’s energy and passion for creating memorable experiences and making people happy sparked his mantra, “Prior proper planning makes for picture perfect parties.”

In late 2007, Jimmy opened Baur’s Ristorante in the historic Baur’s building. Baur’s is a Mediterranean-style restaurant with an emphasis on accommodating before and after theater patrons.
